The Travel Corporation has re-affirmed its commitment to its travel agent partners with the creation of a robust new online initiative, My Travel Portal.
An industry first in guided holidays and river cruising, the portal provides agents with a simplified solution for delivering the best service for clients.
From providing the highest duty of care to effortlessly personalising client trips, everything is taken care of within the only cohesive online portal of its kind currently in the industry.
My Travel Portal affords agents extra hours in their lives, knowing there’s a simple go-to place that holds all the necessary information for each client’s travel plans within the family-owned, international travel group.
It also hosts an e documentation portal, saving both time and trees.
My Travel Portal means less hassle for agents and their clients alike.
From having client emergency contact details to hand in the event of unforeseen circumstances to obtaining travellers’ personal preferences to ensure a trip is tailored to specific tastes, My Travel Portal facilitates assistance with holiday plans in one centralised and convenient platform.
Addressing pre-trip, on-trip and post-trip needs, the portal is an invaluable resource for clients wishing to view itineraries on their mobile device rather than in paper format, seamlessly share holiday snaps on social media, take trip notes in their journal and chat with their travel director and fellow travellers, plus providing overall peace of mind.
Commenting on the My Travel Portal launch and implementation across the portfolio, Brett Tollman, chief executive, The Travel Corporation, said: “We are proud to announce our latest innovative initiative, My Travel Portal, which has been carefully crafted with our agent partners in mind.
“At The Travel Corporation, we take immense pride in the trust and valuable relationships we have built across the industry globally and we continually strive to equip agents with the best tools for success.”
For initial launch, the singular platform encompasses Trafalgar, CostSaver, Contiki, Insight Vacations, and Luxury Gold.
U by Uniworld and Uniworld will follow shortly thereafter this year, and then additional brands from The Travel Corporation portfolio will be added to My Travel Portal in due course.
Eurowings is accelerating its growth course as 2018 gets underway.
Currently Europe’s fastest growing airline, the carrier is working continually to expand its route network and is now offering passengers the new Düsseldorf–Munich route.
This week, flight EW9002 took off from Düsseldorf heading for the Bavarian metropolis for the first time.
In the future, Eurowings will operate one of Germany’s major business routes seven times a week.
The flight takes off from Düsseldorf at 10:55.
The return flight from Munich is scheduled for 12:50.
The frequency on this route will be further increased by the end of the month, with a second flight being added in the evening as of January 31st.
This will take off from Düsseldorf at 19:05, with the return flight scheduled for 21:05.
A daily flight in the morning will take off at 06:40 from February 1st with a subsequent return flight at 09:00.
An afternoon flight will also be available from February 5th.
This will take off from Düsseldorf at 15:00, with a return flight from Munich at 17:00.
This key domestic German route is part of the rapidly growing Lufthansa subsidiary’s expansion plan.
In the future, it will link the two most important Eurowings bases with low-cost direct flights.
The airline plans to significantly expand its presence in the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia in 2018 and will base many more aircraft there, including three additional long-haul jets for flights to America, Africa and the Caribbean.
Six months after launching in Munich, Eurowings is also operating a rapidly growing base in the Bavarian capital where it is the second largest airline after Lufthansa.
After the successful development of domestic German connections and European flights, the next step will follow in the summer of 2018.
Eurowings will then offer low-cost long-haul routes from Munich for the first time.

The expansion comes after nearly three years of successful operations on Maui and will be the sixth permanent location.
The breath-taking flights will depart daily from the company’s facility at Port Allen Airport, located one mile southwest of Hanapepe, Kauai.
“Maverick Helicopters is thrilled to offer our customers an unforgettable experience on the Garden Isle,” said Bryan Kroten, vice president of marketing at Maverick Helicopters.
“With most of Kauai’s striking geographic marvels inaccessible by foot or road, helicopter travel provides the best way to see the island’s natural beauty.”
Maverick Helicopters’ new excursions will showcase Kauai’s spectacular landscapes including Waimea Canyon, stretching 14 miles long, one mile wide and more than 3,600 feet deep; and Napali Coast, Kauai’s 17-mile coastline, displaying panoramic views of velvet green cliffs, cascading waterfalls and the vast Pacific Ocean.
